BAPTISMS

Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals: Ministries
Baptism

Baptism is a celebration of love. Love for your child and the love of God for you. It is a way of giving thanks to God for the gift of the life before you and welcoming your child into the family and fellowship of the church.

If you live within the parish, or have a strong link to St Peter's, you are most welcome to be baptised here at any age. Contact Revd Lizzie Gregory or our administrator to discuss further.

CONFIRMATION

Following baptism, some people wish to 'confirm' their faith in the Christian Church. Perhaps wishing to learn more about faith, and make personal decisions to become more involved in the Christian church, confirmation allows you to do this.

Confirmation courses are run throughout the year and can be tailored to older children or adults. Contact Revd Lizzie Gregory for more information.

When a loved one dies, it can be a difficult and confusing time. We at St Peter's are here to help and guide you through the process by working closely with you and the local Funeral Directors, to support you through this time.

If you would like a funeral to be held at St Peter's or you would like one of the members of the clergy from St Peter's to take the service, please either contact Revd Lizzie directly, or tell the funeral directors of your wishes.

For further information please don't hesitate to be in touch.

People facing a terminal illness, or those in later years, sometimes wish to be involved in planning their funeral. This is something we are more than happy to accommodate. Please speak to Revd Lizzie if you would like to do this in a supportive and understanding environment.
