Our Community Coffee Shop is an important part of the life of St Peter's. Open four days a week, the coffee shop is staffed entirely by volunteers, under the fantastic leadership of Nic, our Coffee Shop Manager. From the service to the cake making, the cleaning and the welcome, all volunteers are an active part of the church family.
Asking only donations, the coffee shop is there to serve the community, providing a comfortable meeting place, a safe environment to make new friends, and even a place to find a sympathetic ear - and eat delicious homemade cake of course!
We serve a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, and for those cooler days we also have toasted tea cakes.
We have a stay and play area, with lots of toys and books for the children, who are always very welcome.
Nic is our wonderful Coffee Shop Manager. With lots of contacts in the local community, she has ensured that the Coffee Shop has gone from strength to strength since reopening. We have spread out into the back of the church and even have an outside seating area when the weather allows.
We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to join our friendly team. If you would like to help in the coffee shop, do get in touch with Nic. If you are a keen baker, we always need a plentiful supply of cake, biscuits, traybakes, shortbread, cupcakes and any other sweet treats you can turn your hand to making! Our popular homemade cakes are always a huge draw to the coffee shop and we always have a large variety on offer.
Our stay and play area is proving to be very popular with children and families. All are welcome.
